Free Parenting Resource – Strategic Parenting

I recently read a quote from parenting expert and Orange founder Reggie Joiner that was an “aha” moment. He wrote, “We need to remember, we’re not raising kids. We’re raising adults.”

Wow! That’s significant. Parenting becomes much more strategic when I keep the end in mind! It isn’t really about what’s convenient, easy, or makes my child happy today. What I give them, withhold from them, do for them or don’t do for them today will impact the kind of adult they will become.

I know among other things I’m trying to raise a responsible, considerate and wise adult and I’m always on the look-out for something that might help me achieve that goal.
